Final Destination (2000)

My Rating ⭐7/10

Final Destination was very different from the horror I have watched. Substituting a purely supernatural force as a killer made the movie unique.

There’s uniqueness in the deaths too. The death chasing the survivors uses small changes to cause its desired outcome.

The characters seem to think that they have cheated death. But maybe death was the one that caused the premonition and enjoyed as the characters did everything in their power to avoid it.

The movies should not end at cliffhangers like that. I need to know how the remaining characters would die.

The teacher pulled the student from the Hindu missionary. Why isn’t the student free to listen to the preacher and choose for himself? Is that scene trying to get the parents in the way the teacher acted to “protect” their children from religious people?

The attitude of Tod after his brother’s death seemed a little unnatural. The way he talked and went on with life was not well written.

If someone just started screaming about deaths like Alex, they would normally be sent to an asylum. Or at least be sent for therapy. Nothing like that happens in the movie.
